St. Maria Goretti S.S.S Katende was established by the Catholic Diocese with just 80 students and 12 teachers at Katende, 21 km along Kampala-Masaka Highway.
Our first cohort sat for Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams, achieving a 95% pass rate.
Introduced Advanced Level program (A' Level), expanding our academic offerings.
Transitioned from girls-only to a mixed secondary school.
Now serving over 1,400 students with 60+ qualified teachers.

For S.1: PLE results, birth certificate, 4 passport photos, and baptism card (for Catholics). For S.5: UCE results with at least 5 passes including English and Mathematics.
O' Level boarding: 800,000-900,000 UGX per term. A' Level boarding: 900,000-950,000 UGX per term. Day scholars pay approximately half the boarding fees.
